SD Elements supports password-based authentication by default. The default superuser account name (sde-superuser@sdelements.com) authenticates with a password that can be configured in values.yaml or set when first deploying the helm chart (see Deploy SD Elements for deployment details). This user has permission to perform advanced configuration.
