Custom task mapping

Customize the task mapping used by Verification tools. Task mapping can be customized for Verification tools using Remote Connection.

  • Remote Connection: Download scan results using web services.

Add/Edit a custom task mapping file

Add or update a custom task mapping file by following the steps below.

Prerequisites:
  1. A CSV file that contains custom task mapping information that is less than 10 MB.

    • Custom task mapping file in CSV format requires the following fields in the following order: Task ID (format: TXXX or CTXXX, e.g. T121, CT20, etc.), Task Title, Weakness ID, Weakness Title, Confidence.

    • You can refer to the default task mapping to check the file format.

  2. A global-level system Verification connector the user wants to apply with custom task mapping.

  3. The user has the permission Global Roles→Integration→Edit verification connections.

Steps
  1. From the gear icon menu, select Integration.

  2. Select the Verification tab.

  3. Click the Upload Task Mapping File file upload icon on an existing system Verification connector.

  4. A dialog will appear.

  5. Click the file attachment icon on the Upload form.

  6. Select the custom task mapping CSV file.

    • Currently, if the custom task CSV filename contains special character (ex: test (1).csv), it will be uploaded for the first time. However, if you upload the same file again, the synchronization may not work. We strongly advise to use the custom task mapping CSV filename without special characters at the moment.

  7. Click the Upload button.

Delete a custom task mapping file

Delete a custom task mapping file by following the steps below.

Prerequisites:
  1. A global-level system Verification connector the user has uploaded with custom task mapping.

  2. The user has the permission Global Roles→Integration→Edit verification connections.

Steps
  1. From the gear icon menu, select Integration.

  2. Search for the connection from which you wish to delete its custom task mapping.

  3. Hover your mouse over the row on the far right and select the Edit Task Mapping File file edit icon. A dialog will appear.

  4. Select the close icon next to the filename field on the Edit form.

  5. Click the Save button.

Download the default task mapping file

Download the default task mapping file by following the steps below.

Prerequisites:
  1. The user has the permission Global Roles→Integration→Edit verification connections.

  2. A global-level system Verification connector from which the user wants to download the default task mapping.

Steps
  1. From the gear icon menu, select Integration.

  2. Search for the connection from which you wish to download its default task mapping.

  3. Hover your mouse over the row on the far right and select the Upload Custom task Mapping file upload icon. A dialog will appear.

  4. Click the "Download Sample Default Mapping File" link.

    The default task mapping file will be downloaded to the user’s web browser.
